Transporting horses and ponies to Blue Cross rehoming centre and foster homes.

Groom/Yard Assistant for various equine business & private homes pre-training horses, polo, hunting, stud yards .Responsible for morning mucking out, and assessing horses and or other large animals and family pets, for signs of injury or ill health. Replenishing hay and water supplies, inspecting stables and or housing for hazards and damage, and reporting issues immediately. Exercising horses by putting them on and off the walker, bandaging, mane pulling, bathing, rugging, and grooming. Holding horses for various treatments, including veterinary visits, farrier services, and other medical procedures. .equine clipping service, maintenance of equipment. Maintaining a clean yard and environment, reporting health and safety issues, ensuring the welfare of staff, horses, and visitors in accordance with various yard policies, and utilizing my years of experience and training. Maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE), first aid skills, and risk assessing workplace situations to safeguard myself and other staff from incidents or accidents. Producing time sheets/ invoicing using Microsoft Excel.

I worked bank shifts predominantly nights 7pm till 8am, over the whole of the hospital. Varied departments, acute care, caring for patients doing personal care, close support of mental health patients or confused / aggressive patients. Food/fluid & documentation of patients care and care planning, risk assessment. I worked both covid influx on Icu dept, assisting icu nurses and doctors proning patients, all care of patients, preparing multiple deceased patients for covid mortuary. Covid swabbing most shifts. Urine analysis. Obs. Have enhanced dbs certificate with update service.
