I am an HCPC registered physiotherapist passionate about my career and profession, with a wide range of skills and experience in healthcare settings. I always strive to place patients at the centre of their care and to improve how this is delivered. I enjoy teaching, training and supporting staff.
Increasingly, I find the links between health, wellbeing and sustainability part of my therapy compass.

Consulting physiotherapist at Belize City Hospital. Responsible for developing an embryonic physiotherapy service to include in and out-patient physiotherapy and the training of a newly qualified Belizean national
Initiation of a community based rehabilitation programme throughout the country of Belize. Including setting up therapy centres, training a local counterpart and local volunteers.
Included developmental screening and working with displaced families from Central American countries

I have a wide range of skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in the hospital and community setting
I consider myself an expert in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery physiotherapy I teach the Plastic Surgery module to the Cardiff University physiotherapy students
I have keen problem solving and clinical reasoning skills which I have used widely in the NHS but also whilst working in a challenging and low resource environment in Belize
I have teaching experience across many levels including being part of national working group developing a Diploma in Physiotherapy Support in Wales
Teaching and training local volunteers in Belize and training local counterpart I supervise junior staff and have presented at national conferences
I was awarded the 1000 Lives Plus Silver Improving Quality Together (IQT) for streamlining the hand therapy service
I have helped shape services from their most rudimentary levels in Belize
I am passionate about health promotion and well being for which I have taken several related roles
