Summary

Whilst working as a travel agent for 27 years I have gained many transferrable skills. These include communicating over the phone and in person, using IT, working with numbers, ordering stock, sending out paperwork and assisting with any problems efficiently. I have the flexibility to work individually and as part of a team. Furthermore, I am a friendly, approachable person and can adapt to different working environments. I have also spent time working in a school as a lunch time supervisor and assisting in the afterschool club. My main duties included safeguarding, providing first aid when required, making sure any dietary requirements were met and supervising play whilst showing patience and kindness. I built positive relationships with both staff and pupils and was an excellent role model to the children. Throughout my time working I have always remained reliable, punctual and dedicated.

  • Some of my duties included booking holidays, answering the phone, replenishing stock, brochure ordering, finding new offers for our window displays, dealing with post and administration and cash handling whilst ensuring I gave fantastic customer service.
