Apr 2024 - present - I am currently working regular shifts in the sleep and lung function clinic. My responsibilities are:

• Patient observations
• Preparing, downloading and issuing patients with diagnostic sleep equipment
• Ensuring the sleep diagnostic test results are of good quality with acceptable channel markers
• Providing response to CPAP equipment queries on a daily basis
• Assist in ordering stock, unpacking and receipting goods
• Reprocessing and arranging disposal of medical equipment
• Update of sleep databases and departmental spreadsheets
• Maintain, clean and calibrate sleep analysing equipment

Oct 2022-Apr 2024 - Working regular shifts in Sandra Chapman my main duties consisted of:

• Patient observations and recording of NEWS2 score
• Urinary analysis
• Collection of red blood cells and plasma
• Assisting with bone marrow aspirations
• Preparation and application of scalp cooling caps

As a permanent staff member on Ward 6 my responsibilities were:

• 2 Hourly patient observations including skin checks
• Assisting in physical therapy sessions with patients
• Assisting in all aspects of personal care, retaining comfort and dignity

After completing a three month training programme and the National Care Certificate I worked on varies wards. My duties included:

• Managing personal hygiene of patients maintaining dignity and respect at all times
• Recording clinical observation on eObs

My responsibilities as a care assistant are:

• Documenting daily observations accurately
• Assisted in all aspects of personal care, retaining comfort and dignity
• Encouraging independence among patients whilst assisting them with tasks

During the pandemic I volunteered with the council run 'Home, but not alone scheme'. This entailed:

• Shopping and delivery of groceries and essential medications
• Home checks on vulnerable people
• Coordinating volunteer visits

Pathways Care Farm is a therapeutic environment that gives vulnerable people the opportunity to learn new skills and reach their full potential through a range of farming activities. My role was to:

• Assign volunteers and farm workers appropriate activities
• Carrying out risk assessments and daily record keeping
• Daily feeding and cleaning of livestock
• Supporting farm workers in agriculture activities
