I am currently a qualified Probation Officer with over 20 years experience. I consistently reflect on my practice to analyse and enhance the quality of service I provide. This reflective practice, combined with a holistic approach to addressing individual and community needs, aids in improved service quality. I have successfully engaged with diverse populations, promoting rehabilitation, while prioritising public protection in service delivery. My current and previous roles require daily decision making in terms of risk management, public protection and the rehabilitation of people on probation. In terms of effective decision making I make informed decisions that are not always popular and impact on people's lives. Such decisions are evidence based and defensible with a view to promoting public protection and desistance. Transparency, consistency and ethical principles are crucial to my decision making process. I continue to work in a pro social manner with the cases I manage to promote positive change. I understand that evaluation is important to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of practice. I am now eager to leverage extensive experience and a commitment to excellence to contribute to the role of a family support worker.
I am a dedicated professional with extensive expertise in criminal justice and restorative justice principles, specialising in the parole recommendation process and legal documentation writing. Demonstrates exceptional communication skills and case management abilities, supported by comprehensive youth work experience. Committed to ongoing professional development in areas such as domestic abuse, safeguarding, child protection, adult safeguarding, data protection, and managing individuals posing risks to children.
