Christina De Sousa

An energetic and highly motivated second-year Sports Technology BEng student at Loughborough University, passionate about merging my love for sports with engineering innovation. I am eager to apply my skills in a dynamic engineering environment and I am committed to bringing enthusiasm and an innovative approach to every challenge.

• Team Leadership: Lead a regional rugby team as captain, as well as home club and school netball captain, with integrity collaborating with my teammates to achieve our collective goals. I also fulfilled the role of head of house at Kings,where I organised house events with up to 100 students and focused on creating a strong community throughout the entirety of the house.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks under pressure, developed through balancing work and academic responsibilities. Remaining calm under pressure during peak service times and reacting quickly to challenges, for example a broken coffee machine, to efficiently coordinate with colleagues to implement temporary solutions and manage customer expectations.
• Communication : Strong skills developed through customer-facing roles where I enhance customer experience within our club, reflecting the premium standard. Also enhanced through coaching the development team, where it is key to deliver clear, concise instructions to players of various skill levels.
