  • Compiling and maintaining accurate records of flight plans, aircraft movements and other relevant data in our systems.
  • Acting as a liaison between pilots, ATCOs, and other on the ground airport personnel.
  • Overseeing various different air traffic control systems and equipment within the operation. Ensuring accurate inputs into these systems and editing information as requested.
  • Conduct and report meteorological observations. In addition, I gather and disseminate accurate and up-to date weather information to air traffic controllers and pilots.
  • Assisting in the coordination of emergency procedures in the event of an incident or accident. Taking reporting action and working with the relevant internal departments and external authorities to provide accurate, timely information supporting ATCOs best manage the situation.
  • Performing various tasks such as filing reports, maintaining logs, and managing documentation related to air traffic operations. Working with our Military colleagues and other ANSPs to keep up to date with any information that may affect our airspace and boundaries.
  • In addition to my primary duties, I am also a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) which involves providing a service to aircraft out of operational airport hours such as the search and rescue helicopter, air ambulance aircraft, helimed operations and other flights for the purpose of search and rescue or ambulance flights. To ensure safe and efficient flight operations by providing essential information and instructions.
  • As a flight Information Service Officer Instructor, I train and mentor trainee FISO's in their final stage of training to prepare them for the validation process.
  • Perform document control duties, including managing, updating, and archiving manuals, operational procedures, and regulatory compliance records.

1. Volunteering

  • Active community volunteer in the South Mainland, including committee work with the Ness Boating Club (event support and coordination, bar duties, kitchen work and other administrative duties)
  • Long standing volunteer and active member within the local netball community, with experience as a player, umpire and coach.
  • Served as coach for the Ness Junior Netball Club, mentoring young players and promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. I regularly contributed to local tournaments and youth development initiatives within the sport.

2. Playing team sport

  • Long time netball player, actively participating in multiple leagues including the mixed, senior and parish cup league. Progressed from team member to captain, coach and umpire, demonstrating my leadership, communication and continued commitment to the sport.

3. Animals

  • I have always enjoyed the company of animals and have a deep passion for animal welfare. Over the past decade, I've rescued and cared for three dogs, which has only strengthened my sense of compassion and responsibility. I'm often entrusted by friends and family to care for their pets while pet-sitting - something I truly enjoy and take pride in.
