Covered a wide range of units, including adult acute male and female ward, forensic, PICU, CAMHS.

Duties includes:

• Timely and efficient seclusion reviews.
• Admission clerking and full physical health review of new patients
• Detention under section 5(2)
• Assessment and management of acutely distressed and agitated patients, through verbal de-escalation and more restrictive rapid tranquilisation procedures.
• Risk assessment and patient safety interventions.
• Physical health reviews and appropriate escalation to the acute hospital.

While studying for my master program in public health at Northumbria University in Newcastle; I took up a mental health support role which gave me a good foundation of how the NHS works and helped improved communication and interactive skills with both staffs and patients. while also preparing for GMC registration, undertaking lectures and seminars.
