

Biomedical engineering postgraduate student at the University of Liverpool having studied biomedical science at the University of Sussex. Experienced in a number of different fields, both professional and voluntary. Skills in Computer aided design (CAD), data analysis and report preparation. Previously described as an organised and reliable worker prepared to work in a team or alone to complete the task to the highest possible standard.
In 2019 I volunteered at Penniwells Riding for the disabled Centre. I assisted both Children and adults in manoeuvring from their wheelchairs or other mobility aids to the saddle using specialised equipment and lifts. This experience required daily problem solving as different people required different adaptations and levels of support.
While it was not intended work experience at the time, it was during this year that I was inspired to venture into the field of prosthetics as I witnessed first hand the joy that is brought from both independence and returning to something you love after life changes.
In 2019 I had the incredible opportunity of shadowing a Professor at the HIV clinic in St Marys hospital London. While I was there, I observed consultations with over thirty HIV patients and two AIDS patients. I also worked with other medical students to present our findings about how HIV is contracted and managed.
In August 2021 I shadowed a dentist at where I sat in on consultations and witnessed a root canal and tooth extraction.
In June 2025 I was invited to the Roche pharmaceutical branch in Welwyn for a day of work experience. During this experience, I attended lectures about implantable medical devices and patient safety in clinical trials as well as meeting department heads to learn about their roles in the company.
