I am an English Literature Student in my final year at the University of Exeter. During my time I have been a keen member of the Exeter University Snowsports Society taking part in two trips to the Alps.
With The Etiquette Group, I have taken up roles at Windsor Racecourse in multiple position, ranging from box work to waitressing and bar roles. Specifically, in the restaurant I have worked for charity events dealing with VIP regular customers who expect a sustained level of high service. Furthermore, I have enjoyed multiple family days where my service has been tailored to much younger clientele with children.
Catering work at the 2023 Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships has helped hone skills across various kitchen roles, from food preparation to front of house service. I completed food preparation/hygiene/till training in preparation for the championship, as well as becoming accustomed to working long hours in a high-pressured environment.
With Host Staffing I work frequently at Royal Ascot Racecourse, where I am mostly situated in trackside private boxes. The nature of box work has strengthened my ability to provide a tailored experience in an intimate environment with one other employee alone with my guests. Under the management of Ascot sommeliers I have also taken on the role as a wine waiter gaining wider knowledge upon pairings and upselling. Alongside this I worked the Silverstone British Grand Prix in 2022, in the VIP Pegasus lounge, providing a private experience in a high status event.
