Work history

Kennel worker

Lapford Lodge
Lapford, Devon
2023.05 - 2023.08
  • In around the middle of May, I started working at a local kennel and cattery which was closing followed by another job when I started working two in early June. The job in question was at a local take away. Working two part time jobs simultaneously has taught me the importance of efficiency, diligence and in the work place.
  • While in the take away I worked in the kitchen preparing food and front of house, working with the till, phone and face-to-face interaction which developed my customer service skills.
  • While working at the kennels I had to learn quality time management to keep on top of a regular schedule. The necessity to complete a certain amount of work under a time constraint meant that I had to learn how to coordinate tasks with my fellow employee as well as completing all jobs to an optimum standard so that the job didn't need to be repeated.
