I began secondary school at Gravesend Grammar School in 2019 where I spent five years working towards my GCSEs. At the school, I played rugby for three years captaining the team and thoroughly enjoyed it. In year nine I took up Golf as a hobby away from rugby and fell in love with the game. In year ten I decided to stop playing rugby and focus on playing Golf. Since then, I have represented the county of Kent at u14 and u16 level, which has been super beneficial for me in making me a better golfer and also meeting many new people. I have played national competitions and travelled all over the UK to play competitions. I am currently the vice junior captain at Mid Kent Golf Club and will become captain in April, 2025. This is a role that will come with many responsibilities but I am excited for the job. I enjoy the gym and spending quality time with my friends and family. I recently made the decision to change schools to take my A Levels as I wanted to meet new people and challenge myself.
I have been working every weekend at Mid Kent Golf Club from 6am-9am for over two years now, assisting the Green Keeping team. In addition, I have worked full days from 6am-2:30pm during the school half terms. My job consists of ensuring the golf course is presented in excellent condition for the golfers that day. This includes raking every sand bunker, blowing leaves off the tees and fairways, moving tee markers into positions I have been asked to put them in, swishing dew of tees and greens when it is required and filling divots with a soil and seed mix.
