In my current role as a Business Support Manager, I have developed excellent organisation and communication skills. This role involves booking and securing new clients, helping with the facilitation of training, developing policy and procedure and marketing across relevant professional domains.
In my previous role as Registered Care Manager, I managed an emergency care facility children's home for Wolverhampton Social Services. This role involved managing a team of 15 care workers and ensuring we strove to provide the best possible standard of care to the 2 resident young people. Care planning, risk management and safeguarding were of the utmost importance as well creating a warm & friendly environment that was both responsive and safe. Multidisciplinary working was essential in order to ensure that the young person's previous and future placements were part of the care plan.
I am intuitive and friendly, and I value working in a considerate and compassionate manner.
I am proficient in English and Welsh.
Managed a Wolverhampton-run, Pwllheli-based emergency care facility for up to 2 young people. Young people were placed in our care because it was not possible to place them in larger occupancy children's homes or in foster care. These young people were high risk and extremely emotionally damaged and the focus was on stabilising their care and giving them a footing to ensure a better future pathway.
