- I got a part-time job at a children's shoe shop during my university years.
- This part-time work has given me many skills in communicating with the public, taking responsibility, and managing.
- I assist customers in finding exactly what they want and ensure they buy the correct shoes.
- This is a small business, so I have a lot of different responsibilities to maintain the shop.
- I've learnt how to use the back office and handle online sales.
- I have also managed the store independently and have been in charge of other employees while working here.

- While volunteering at this charity shop, I had many responsibilities, such as working at the till, organising and maintaining a clean environment, communicating with customers, decorating the shop and sorting through everything that was donated
- I also helped in the bookshop
- The bookshop was a separate building next door, which my manager let me run on my own
- I was taught to use the till by my manager Shirley and deal with customers independently, answering queries and sorting through the books donated
- I was also trained to value and mark up the prices of book donations

- Because of COVID restrictions, I had to take the initiative and figure out how to run the club online
- Over the academic year, our club became the most popular club at the college, obtaining a membership of more than twenty students
- We kept each meeting entertaining while encouraging the students to write, try out different ideas, and share their results

- I enjoy practising my writing in my spare time. My speciality is writing nonfiction, specifically about the history of the sport Formula One.
- I'm passionate about reading and have an extensive collection of books.
- I love biographical research, using the Internet to find interviews and information and reading biographies and autobiographies.
- I've spent hours tracking down information on Formula One drivers to share more about them with a wider audience.
- For my university dissertation, I spent over a year researching local heroes for Farnham, including Mike Hawthorn, Britain's First Formula One World Champion.
- I regularly use social media such as TikTok and Instagram to share my knowledge of Formula One. I have experience using social media for engagement, know what is trending, and know how to increase views.
