In my time as an apprentice at Atherton house nursery I assisted in the care and supervision of the children. I supported the children's development through play, activities, learning experiences. Throughout the day I helped with daily routines which include meals, nap times and personal care. I communicated effectively with my coworkers, parents and caregivers. I gained hands on experience in child development. I quickly learned and applied new skills to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity. I undertook additional responsibilities willingly, displaying commitment towards job role.
I provided friendly, enthusiastic support to pupils in individual and group support settings. I also maintained child safety, security and good behaviour during classroom and outdoor activities. I built trusting, respectful relationships with pupils through attentive listening and communication abilities. I supervised pupils during lunchtimes and worked with a year six class for a week when they were coming up to their SATs exams.
