Work history
Administrator
VINCI Facilities
2023.04 - 2026.07
In April 2023, I transferred from Antac over to VINCI where I currently work as a facilities administrator. I spend my time supporting the site management team and helping to deliver day to day services across site. I coordinate and manage planned preventative maintenance that is required to keep site compliant, ensuring sure all key dates are adhered to. Liaising daily with the operational team, subcontractors and any visitors who visit our building. My weekly routine consists of raising purchase orders, completing quotes and stationery orders.
I work collaboratively with the team to ensure we produce correct reports and hit our business KPI targets, Whilst being at VINCI, it has given me the opportunity to use my transferable skills from my previous role in management. I take time to teach my colleagues at all different levels to make sure processes are carried out correctly and efficiently.
Administrator
Antac Support Services
2022.11 - 2023.04
I joined Antac for a short period to help cover sickness. During my time I covered the site's administration, organising the team's diaries making sure I had work orders assigned to them, monitoring the inbox and responding to emails promptly and efficiently. Maintaining and updating records, scheduling visits and other daily office duties were core responsibilities I was trusted to complete.
Section Manager
Marks and Spencer, Hedge End
2010.10 - 2022.02
My time as a Team Manager at Marks and Spencer allowed me to evolve my skills by progressing through the ranks, starting from customer assistant to section manager within 6 years of being at the business. During this time, I completed my level 4 apprenticeship in retail management.
Being a successful team manager, I completed an array of different tasks on a daily basis. Everything from recruitment and HR processes to managing a department of 40 members.
My considerable attention to detail when completing tasks, including administrative ones, meant I made sure my team's payroll and files were always compliant and up to date. It helped provide me with confidence when I dealt with processing my team member's reviews, attendance or even disciplinary actions.
I have always been passionate about employee engagement and took the upmost care to communicate with each member of my team in a way they understood and making sure they worked to the best of their ability. I found processes that worked for all members to access the communication they needed, whether that was written, verbal or practical.
In my latter years, I took ownership and trained staff in several digital ventures the business decided to promote. As an example, ‘Scan and Shop' was trialled in our store and through my hard work and dedication to learning, I was able to be in contact with the project managers at national level and my name was given to others stores as a point of contact to answer questions as they rolled out the project.
One of my significant achievements within my time at M&S, was organising and running the end to end delivery of the Christmas ‘Food to Order' in the premium Hedge End store for the 5 consecutive years, completing up to 65 orders every half an hour for up to 14 hours a day.
Having received recognition at a regional and national level for my organisational skills, I was able to share my ideas on many occasions on how to make the experience quicker and more efficient with our stakeholders and having spoken about these efficiencies with the number 2 in the business. These were actioned nationally within the business and consequently remains one of my proudest moments.
I was always motivated to be organised and deliver what I committed to with enthusiasm and dedication. I spent considerable time making sure my knowledge and experience was up to date, therefore enabling me to deliver what I say I will.
During my time at Marks and Spencer, I was always open to learning new skills and challenging myself. I took on many roles which I have used throughout my time in both day-to-day experiences or in the long term. A few being;
Recruitment
Coach
First Aider/Emergency team
I was the store's charity representative, working with local charities including Abby's Heroes and Hampshire Fire and Rescue, raising vast amounts of money for them via locally arranged events including in-store activities.
