Summary

My background has equipped me with a comprehensive skill set perfectly suited to this role. I possess a solid understanding of medical terminology, gained through regular bank shifts working within a busy A&E department.

I have direct experience liaising sensitively with the families of terminally ill or deceased patients. I am fully competent in assisting with last rights and making the necessary arrangements for funeral directors to collect the deceased, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times.

I believe my background offers a distinct advantage; I am accustomed to working within fast-paced environments, balancing the need for empathy with the requirement for accuracy and efficiency.

In my current role as Lead Rota Coordinator, I have successfully reduced unused working hours for nursing staff by 31.7% since January 2026. This efficiency drive has directly resulted in a significant reduction in bank spend, coming very close to our stretch target of 33.3%.

Previously, I demonstrated initiative and compassion by establishing my own clinic, which provided holistic support to Oncology patients and their families. Through this service, I successfully guided and assisted approximately 1,040 individuals and families annually, ensuring they received not only emotional support but also access to vital financial assistance.

The values of Kent County Council resonate strongly with me. I am a dedicated team player who is also confident using my own initiative, and I am eager to bring these qualities to the Coroner's office to become a reliable and valuable asset to the team.

am highly motivated to succeed in this role and am fully committed to undertaking any necessary training to further develop my skills. I am eager to integrate into the KCC community and contribute to the high standards of service you provide.
