I provide personalised support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), assisting with their daily routines, personal development, communication and engagement in activities. I promote independence, confidence and wellbeing while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. I work closely with families to understand and meet each child’s individual needs, using patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to provide high-quality care.
During my time with Provide Education, I was placed in a primary school where I worked closely with a pupil on a one-to-one basis. My responsibilities included providing consistent support, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, establishing clear boundaries, and building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil. I also developed effective communication and professional relationships with the pupil’s parents, working collaboratively to support their needs and progress.
During my time at Westside, I successfully managed a Special Educational Needs (SEN) room, overseeing the day-to-day running of the provision while supervising and supporting staff. I developed my knowledge and professional skills by actively participating in a range of training courses, allowing me to broaden my understanding and strengthen my ability to support children with additional needs. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of opening and closing the building, demonstrating my reliability, professionalism and ability to work independently.
During my time at Tiptoes, I successfully progressed into a Room Leader position within the toddler room. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing my own team, supporting the day-to-day running of the room, and ensuring the children received a safe, engaging and nurturing environment. I developed strong organisational and leadership skills while managing the responsibilities of the role. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of opening and closing the building, demonstrating my reliability, trustworthiness and ability to work independently.
This is where my career began as an apprentice, gaining hands-on experience across all rooms and age groups. Developed strong childcare, communication, teamwork, and organisational skills while supporting children’s learning, development, and daily routines.
I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, particularly through days out and activities such as visiting parks, restaurants and shopping centres. I have a creative side and enjoy drawing and colouring, which allows me to express my creativity and attention to detail. I also take a keen interest in researching and exploring activities that support children’s development, encourage imagination and promote learning through engaging experiences.
