  • I was successfully appointed as a help-desk engineer for OpalTec.
  • My main duties and responsibilities for this role was to
  • Managing the help-desk system, ensuring all inbound support calls and emails are handled within agreed Service Level Agreements.

  • Carrying out Operating System re-loads, Stage devices for deployment.

  • Skills I have gained from this role;
  • Interpersonal skills - I have managed to build my own team whilst working as a help-desk engineer. We have a small team including myself working on the help-desk department. I have trained new staff members who joined the team. I have explained how our system works and provided useful tips how to be productive and use their time efficiently. I have built amazing relationship with my colleagues, not only within my team but also from other departments.
  • This is a company based in Bristol which provides a strategy to migrate to new technology and refurbishes old to new equipment.

  • Leadership skills - I was hired after a while working for Posh Spice to take over the managers role of looking after the restaurant. I was well trained with the help of my colleague who has left my team to work for another company. I have learnt how to respond to every query and issue related situations which I am able to do in a calm manner. I have managed to work alone for a while whilst delivering at pace when we are short staffed, ensuring I perform at high quality. I managed to use my own initiative and gain experience in taking control of my work area. The journey has been fairly bumpy over the years trying to achieve my best level of professionalism, however I have used this as my strength to look after my team by taking control. I know I was performing well as I was receiving great feedback from customers and my own staff. I now understand how to run a business which takes courage, confidence, reliability and dedication. I have gained these skills over the years of working and trying to improve the business demands.
