PERSONAL STATEMENT

  • I have been a student at West Herts college since September 2023 and was at Bushey Meads School prior to that for five years. On the successful completion of my college course, I hope to acquire a place for my further Apprenticeship Education within the business and financial sectors.
  • Throughout my time at school I have been an active member of my year groups, participating in a wide variety of events for my school and representing my year groups in cross country. Out of school I am involved in representing and acting for Borehamwood football club, a football team who help me become a better team player, help me with my confidence and my communication skills. I have been a part of this group for the past five years and was there for people who sought confidence and help on themselves and their personal motivation. These team skills were essential in order for us to achieve successful matches and training. I have also gained certificates for perfect attendance at my school. As part of the curriculum I have achieved my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, which involved mapping out a route and enduring a 48-hour walk, as well as developing our camping and outdoor skills.
  • Aside from school, I have been playing the guitar for leisure, of which I am committed to a passion as well as educating myself on my musical ability. Moreover, I have an affinity for languages and currently study French in my spare time. Being a footballer and a part of Beavers in my younger years has introduced me to a world of challenges and opportunities, where my creative skills initially developed.
  • My favourite interests are football and music, as well as socialising with friends and occasionally video gaming. I also enjoy cooking for my family on rare occasions or developing my culinary skills at home. My hope for the future is to do well in my GCSES and go on to college, where I would like to complete an Apprenticeship or further studies in Business and finance.

Affiliations

I am an avid football fan, and played for local teams including Bushey Rangers FC from the age of 5, moving to Borehamwood FC from the age of 14 to 16. I then joined Bushey and Oxhey FC but due to sustaining a serious knee injury I was unable to continue

I still play regularly on weekends for pleasure, and for as long as my knee permits!

Fitness is important to me, I regularly attend the gym in order to maintain my fitness levels and also because I thoroughly enjoy it.

When I am not doing any of the above, I enjoy watching films ranging from comedies, dramas and documentaries.
