Archie Simpson

I’m a positive and energetic person who likes to do things properly and take pride in my work. Although I haven’t worked in catering before, I’m confident working with people and enjoy creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I naturally pay attention to the small things that can make someone's night a lot better. I’m reliable, pick things up quickly, and I’m always willing to step in and help out wherever needed. Id say my standout ability is being upbeat and bringing my personality into everything I do.

• I have enjoyed playing rugby since I was 4, playing for 4 different schools and clubs allowing me to stay confident and learn to thrive in many different atmospheres.
• I love to play all sports with my friends especially golf and football. I am also a keen skier being part of Lothian Ski Racing for many years.

• At school I have been dedicated in the role of a senior prefect. This is a role I have been working towards since I joined in S2, always looking upto my prefects and now having the opportunity to become one is something I take great pride in and work hard in my role. This role gives me many responsibilities such as supervising and mentoring homework sessions, meeting with the headmaster, and organising and setting up events.
• At school I was also a senior volunteer. This opportunity was vital for me to learn and sharpen my skills. Every Wednesday I worked in Longstone Primary School teaching kids how to play rugby or playing games, giving me the chance to work with people less fortunate than me.

• I was awarded the Coaches Skier of the Year award at Lothian Ski Racing in 2021
