Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accept and handover patient ensuring continuity and quality of treatment
• Provide extensive care to spinal cord injured patients covering acute care, rehabilitation and long term management to promote maximum independence.
• Competent in monitoring and managing tracheostomy ventilated patients, skilled in the use of cough-assist devices, manual bagging, suctioning, and performing routine and emergency tracheostomy changes and weaning process.
• Competent in performing cough assist machine. Also assist physiotherapist and respiratory therapist with therapeutic management of ventilated patient.
• Perform moving and handling of spinal cord injured patients with special equipment , slide sheets and hoist.
• Knowledge on Autonomic dysreflia in spinal cord injured patients and its emergency management.
• Provide care education on tracheostomy care, ventilator management, neuropathic skin management and prevention of pressure ulcers as well as promoting independence in bowel and bladder management
• Bowel management, perform manual evacuation . Male and female urinary catheterisation
• Ensuring postoperative care for patient undergone baclofen pump surgery. 10. Competent in using VAC therapy on pressure ulcers patient.
• Engaging with nursing team and other MDT in promoting patient rehabilitation
• Applying standard precautions of infection control in nursing practice and follow infection control protocol
• Care of medical equipment's inventory supply
• Maintain confidentiality in matters to patient, family and staff
• Immediate response on emergency situations
• Perform appropriate treatment ordered by physician in accurate and timely manner. Safe administration of medicine ,IV fluids and blood products.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing students and associates, fostering a learning environment.

• Assess and monitor patients hemodynamic status to detect early signs of clinical deterioration
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care for patients recovering from procedures such as hernia repair, appendicectomy, orthopedic surgeries, lithotripsy, varicose vein ligation and stripping, machine-cut injuries, lower segment cesarean section (LSCS), and hysterectomy.
• Administer IV fluids as prescribed, maintain accurate fluid intake and output charts, and monitor for electrolyte imbalances and potential arrhythmias.

• Assess and provide continuous monitoring and care for critically ill patients
• Comprehensive monitoring of neurosurgical patients, assess level of consciousness with Glasgow coma scale, ventilator adequacy and pain management.
• Maintain patients fluid intake and output to monitor emerging problems and electrolyte imbalance Prepare, administer and record the medicines.
• Collect intravenous blood samples and notify doctors
