I currently manage day to day maintenance works for Wirral Borough Council across the construction industry.

I manage large construction projects within local schools and council properties.

Jobs are raised through a portal which we download and organize the correct trade to carry out the relevant work.

I make site visits for new quotations which involves meeting with council officials, Headteachers, business managers and site managers to take note of works needed.

I also write up quotations including costings which then go to my direct manager for approval.

Projects are organized for specific dates with school approval.

Daily checks ae made to ensure smooth running of construction works.

my work is shared between office and site works.

Office based works include, answering the phone and taking details of incoming works which also include emergency call out works on occasion.

Printing out of works orders.

Typing up quotations and forwarding to the relevant school, office or inspector.

Ordering materials in for projects occasionally.

Carry out various painting and decorating projects handed down by company management.

This would include working in schools, council buildings and private works undertaken by the company.

Works varied in size from large projects down to small finishing works, works would be internal and external.

The last two years of my employment I took on managing all painting and decorating projects for the company.

Responsibilities included security of the school, opening and closing daily ensuring school was secure each evening.

Attending the school in case of out of hours emergencies.

Managing a small team of cleaners.

Cleaning duties with in the school.

Keeping the school free from hazards such as broken glass and debris with in the playgrounds.

Ensuring any play equipment was kept in good condition for children to use.

Managing any work projects with in the school.

Carrying out small repairs with in the school.

Dressing up for Easter and Christmas to entertain the children.

I worked as a self employed Painter and Decorator working on various agency works and works generated by myself.

Works carried out were internal and external decoration, from large to small projects.
