I recently worked as a barista at a newly opened, high-volume Starbucks inside Safeway — the only one in the area — where I quickly adapted to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. After our manager left shortly after opening, I took on additional responsibilities and was nominated to be a trainer, helping onboard new team members even without formal certification. Through this role, I developed strong customer service and time management skills, maintained attention to detail, and learned how to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
