I am a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in providing emotional support and positive behaviour management, specialising in autism expertise and understanding learning disabilities. Proficient in multi-agency collaboration and safeguarding policies, with a focus on restraint reduction and non-violent techniques. Skilled in medication administration, care planning, and person-centred practice, complemented by comprehensive health and safety training. Committed to enhancing resilience through empathic listening and de-escalation strategies, aiming to foster inclusive environments that prioritise mental health awareness.
Supporting children living in residential care utilising the “Loving Care” Model. The house has capacity for 5 children aged 7-17 years who have been removed from their family homes due to safeguarding concerns. The children have often experienced profound trauma and experience mental health and attachment difficulties, as a result, I help them to regulate their emotions and act as a supportive caregiver in the home.
Supporting students aged 14-19 years with autism, MLD, EBD and SEMH. Mainly supporting in years 10 and 11. I chose to move on as I was seeking a new challenge.
Providing 1:1 and group support in Entry level to A2 classes for students aged 16-22 years. I chose to move on as I wanted to work with a more complex cohort in a specialised environment.
