In this role, I was able to gain more responsibilities by opening (alone) and closing (with one other) the café. My role also expanded from a barista to a general café worker which included basic cooking, food prepping, tills and serving drinks. This role helped me to grow confidence and build relationships with customers, many of whom became regulars. I also dealt with weekend rushes, and served top customer service whilst working at a fast pace under pressure. Due to working more hours at this job, I was also able to gain great knowledge about menu items, which lead to me being able to advise customers on options and give recommendations, which I always enjoyed.

I really enjoyed working in a large group, where I had to use communication and teamwork to ensure that drinks were served quickly with top customer service. Even during rushes, I ensured that the workspace remained clean whilst preparing orders. I learnt the skill of latte art and particularly enjoy when I put a smile on peoples face from the art or from when I go the extra mile.
