  • Attending to the needs of the service users in the radiology department to prepare them for their CT scan. This involves siting a cannula when necessary and preparing oral contrast as prescribed by a radiologist.
  • Providing emotional support where needed as some scans take place after a cancer diagnosis has just been given to the patient.
  • Liaising with other departments such as Accident and Emergency to efficiently manage urgent scans required.
  • Overseeing new starters to the job role to work at a high level to maintain the standards of the department. Trained new staff in cannulation with knowledge of ANTT.
