Intern

Andrew Gordon McLean

Alexandria,West Dunbartonshire

Summary

It was necessary for me to leave my previous employment due to long term health difficulties. At that point I had worked in Social Care in various communities including Glasgow, Clydebank and Dumbarton for 20 years in various roles. After recovering my health I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel and have spent time in communities in North America and Europe. My Partner is Spanish and I have spent considerable time in Spain including working with my partner's brother in his gardening business.

I have experience of building successful relationships with a wide variety of individuals leading to positive outcomes. I also have experience of building relationships in challenging circumstances with challenging service users.

I have experience of working in teams and alone in both community and institutional environments.

I also have experience or working to deadlines on a daily basis including high quality Risk Assessment Reports to Sheriff and High Courts.
