In June 2023 after my development I took on the full time role of a shift manager. I am responsible to lead team of 38+ to achieve KPI targets in fast-paced environments. I also make sure my team adhered to company standards and compliance requirements for operations and to deliver results. I am also responsible for the personal development of each team member helping them to achieve and improve within there individual roles. During my time as a shift manager I have led different teams and have been involved in delivering key projects by implementing new systems to the business and leading training programs for these systems as well as also delivering process changes within different teams across the factory.

During this role, I would ensure staffing levels were correct in the department both day and night whilst being efficient with labour. My work area was based in packaging, with a team size between 30 and 48 staff depending on workload demand. I would be responsible for the health and safety of my working area, carrying out weekly audits and preventing the possibility of accidents through our near miss system. I would also make ensure all the packaging lines were running correctly with a high standard of quality and with the right level of skill. Within this role I have learnt a host of skills, ranging from decision making, team building, communication and time keeping. I also learnt various aspect of management roles in late 2021 which I was then transferred to the production unit of the business to began to learn key management skills to develop.

I gained a permanent position at Palethorpes during September 2016 after working on the agency for a short period. During my time in this role, I ran a variety of packing machines. I would be in charge of a small team, Ensuring all packing standards were met and my machinery was running in an efficient manner. During this time I had learnt in detail how to maintain and mange my machinery.
