I am a highly motivated individual currently working as a shift manager at Domino's Pizza, where I have managed to develop a strong foundation in leadership, digital systems and operational efficiency. This role has given me hands on experience with inventory forecasting, point of sale systems and data driven decision making skills that coordinate with my interest in continuous learning in the world of Information Technology. What I offer is a unique blend of frontline management experience and technical hunger and curiosity. I have learnt how to navigate digital tools under pressure, train team members on system usage and solve real time problems that impact business performance. These experiences have sharpened my analytical thinking, communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. I also managed to expand my knowledge through career readiness programmes that allowed me to visit IT companies and observe how technology drives innovation and efficiency. These field based experiences have added more fuel in my desire to pursue a career in IT, where I can contribute to building smarter systems, supporting users and solving complex challenges. As a shift manager at my workplace, I'm responsible for overseeing the daily operations, the coordination of staff schedules and ensuring that there is efficient order processing. A key part of my role involves using digital systems to manage inventory and forecast stock requirements whilst analysing sales trends. It is also a part of my role to regularly interact with the Point of Sale software and internal dashboards, which has since improved my ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. I also supervise team member training on system usage and troubleshoot technical issues. These experiences have also added to my top tier knowledge on systems thinking and user support skills.
Not only do I manage the systems at my workplace, I also improve the team morale through effective communication and feedback practises in order to provide effective results. This is also followed up by motivating team members to achieve sales targets and increase the overall store revenue. I also oversee the cash management process to ensure accuracy at the end of each shift.
I participated in a career readiness programme that included field visits to IT companies, where I managed to gain first hand insight into the industry operations, team structures and the technology workflows. These experiences helped me understand how IT solutions are implemented in real business contexts.
This experience came with carrying out day to day duties accurately and efficiently to successfully deliver tasks, that also within tight deadlines. I also managed to work practically with an IT support technician to gain knowledge and strengthen my productivity when working with systems.
