Senior Test Manager - Portfolio Management OPS IT

  • As the Portfolio Manager for Operations IT, I have overall accountability for testing within that BTG. This is a partnering role whereby I am leveraged from ECS SQ&T to partner with Operations IT on the delivery of their strategic objectives and programmes from a test prospective.
    At a high level the role can be broken down into:
  • Portfolio Management - Management of demand and projects within Operations IT, keeping myself aligned with Test Delivery Lead on portfolios, so can proactively support test resource as required.
  • Resource Management - Managing the fulfillment of resource requests, mostly from our Global Innovation & technology centres (GITCs), ensuring the right skilled resources are placed with the right projects at the right time.
  • Estimating - Providing estimates and strategic plans for early demand items of varying sizes from small projects to global enterprise level changes (for example S4 Hana), to support cost planning and business case creation.
  • Demand Governance - As part of wider Operations IT Demand approval process (to convert demand to projects) review and approve all submitted demand items, and provide approval (or not) that Testing has been factored into the estimates and alignment to strategy.

Global Programme Test Manager - MDG

  • As the Global Programme Test Manager, I am responsible for End to End Test deliverables for Customer and Vendor Data Transformation(MDG)Programme across multiple SAP instances (Asia, Europe, NAM and LATAM).
  • Defined Global Test Strategy to cover all the testing risks and data integration from MDG to SAP ECC to several downstream systems(~100 downstream systems) across multiple SAP instances and get alignment from entire project stakeholders - Programme management, business stakeholders, IT stake holders, all downstream systems owners and the Programme Steering committee.
  • Build a testing team of 13 members from GITC Chennai and Guadalajara comprising leads and test engineers to manage multiple test streams across multiple SAP instances.
  • Coordinated End to End testing between, technical integration team and multiple downstream system(~70) owners to ensure all business transactions for customer and vendor master data are working a expected.
  • Driven User acceptance testing with multiple business users across multiple regions, certifying different business processes related to customer and vendor master data.
  • I have responsibility for the delivery management, resource planning, budget tracking and risk / issue & escalation management related to testing for CVDT programme.
  • Introduced test automation using Leap work and driven automation of all the regression tests specific to MDG reducing the test effort.
