I have completed an Apprenticeship in Business and Administration through the University of Highlands and Islands. Whilst studying for my Apprenticeship I was nominated by my tutor as a Rising Star. This resulted in me having extra training days to promote confidence in the workplace and enhance my learning.
Whilst studying on my apprenticeship I have gained experience in using Word, creating spreadsheets and databases with information such as stock takes from The Blairmore shop. Currently I deal with all the invoices that we receive, by checking off orders and filing once processed. I also have experience with making and receiving telephone calls and compiling emails, as when we have planned night time events or Christmas meals, it is my role to make the phone calls or email our lovely customers requesting payments, contact details and allergy information. This means I also have experience with the Data Protection Act 2018 as I am used to handling information that comes under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I understand how important confidentiality is in the workplace. This is something that I would undertake to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of information whilst promoting a safe and trusting environment. Other skills I have include good organisation, communication, and time management. I believe that working as part of a small team it is really important to be flexible, a good team player, open, honest and be able to confidently work independently when needed.
Finally I would like to add that I am a positive person who is keen to learn and who will give 100% to the role.
