Medical student currently in my 3rd year of Medicine MbCHb at the University of Bristol. Studying an intercalated year in Sports Science in Relation to Medicine in 24/25 academic year in order to gain further knowledge of physiology, rehabilitation and injury, learn more of the role of different practitioners in sports medicine and earn vital experience with the endeavour to pursue a career in sports medicine post graduation. My experience in sports medicine so far includes work experience shadowing the doctor at Chester FC, attendance at conferences and courses completed with SEM academy. I am hardworking, passionate, professional and value my leadership and communication skills.
As GWFC captain I provide strong leadership on and off the field, manage team dynamics by fostering a supportive and cohesive environment, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective communication among players and lead by example demonstrating punctuality, consistency and a positive attitude throughout.
As a medical student I have demonstrated empathy and understanding with patients, effectively balanced multiple different tasks and prioritised the most urgent and shown consistent professionalism.
In order to further my knowledge of sports medicine I attended the Manchester United Football Club Sports Medicine Conference and the University of Bristol Sports Medicine Conference in 2023.
I shadowed Dr Marc England at Chester FC to gain vital work experience and learnt of the important, multifaceted role of a doctor at a football club, the importance of other healthcare professionals and key skills required to work in this field eg, communication and leadership
