-Write and Develop Standard Operating procedures to support a safe Cardiac MRI Service
-Help Support the training Of Radiographers to perform Cardiac MR
-Work collaboratively with the cardiothoracic radiologist, cardiologist, and MR clinical Lead to initiate and develop the Cardiac MR service.
-develop and initiate Quality assurance and clinical standards audits .
-Deputies for the CT/MRI superintendent Radiographer on non-clinical matters, when appropriate.

-Assists in developing, reviewing and revising protocol for patient studies.
*Provides immediate supervision to MRI staff.
*Ensures proper quality and quantity of work done by technical and support staff, prepares daily work assignments, and reassigns personnel as required.
*Assures proper completion of records by technologist for billing and recording purposes. Records to include requisitions.
*Communicates and coordinates with staff of previous and next shift regarding equipment problems, waiting patients and other like information.
*Ensures proper stock of supplies, including IV’s, contrast, saline, linen, and other supplies needed to for operations.
*Orients and supervises all technical and clinical support staff of the MRI Department. Provides immediate supervision and assigns work, evaluates performance and ensures on-going training.
*Functions as a liaison between physicians and support staff, explaining Department procedures, resolving problems and coordinating activities which affect patient care. Ensures all information regarding procedural or operational changes in the MRI Department are communicated to appropriate Hospital personnel.
*Implements work schedules and sets work assignments. Responsible for utilizing per-diem employees to fill vacant shifts in order to reduce overtime costs.
*Understands and shows the ability to interpret MRI safety policies and procedures as necessary. Instructs patients and visitors in MR safety procedures. Ensures adherence to safety practices by all persons entering the MRI area.
*Assists in developing, reviewing and revising protocol for patient studies.
*Performs evaluations and recommendations, with input from the Operations Manager and Technical Manager, regarding additional equipment and technical protocols.
*Notifies Radiology Department engineers and vendor service personnel of equipment failure.
*Ensure that all MRI, Department, Hospital, and Joint Commission guidelines are met.
