I am an energetic and hard-working student with good academic records. I am ready for practical experience and enthusiastic about understanding the business world. I am keen to learn and better understand how to apply skills learnt in school in the real world.
I had two weeks of work experience at the Manolo Blahnik London branch where I assisted customers in locating specific items to boost their satisfaction. I ensured I listened to customer needs and preferences to provide targeted advice which helped to increase sales opportunities. I also assisted customers with product selection and sales, recommending items to increase transaction value. As well as front-of-house management I carried out back-of-house maintenance for clear, easy-to-navigate stockroom management. I replenished stock and processed deliveries promptly, maximising product availability for customers. During this time I learnt how to collaborate with other team members and be an accountable team player.
I volunteered for my school's 1st XI football team. My responsibilities included setting up the drills for the team and helping both the players and the coach with anything additional assistance they needed during the sessions. During these months I gained an understanding of what it takes to be a successful leader by shadowing the coach of the team. He taught me that there are essential qualities needed to be a successful leader such as being confident and having strong relations with those around you.
I volunteered once a week for a children's futsal club located in Bushey, Hertfordshire. I was responsible for running the sessions and looking after the children whilst also giving them tips on how to improve their technique to become better players. The sessions I led were predominantly focused on delivering an enjoyable experience for the children whilst also trying to improve their all-round game. During these sixth months, I learnt important qualities such as time management and leadership.
