Ali Ismail

In December 2023, I helped run a Christmas dinner to raise money for a hospital raising awareness to cancer, to help raise money I was a waiter for a Christmas dinner party that raised over £300. Cooking is an enjoyable hobby for me, I enjoy cooking for friends and family whether it be hot drinks, cold drinks, hot meals or cold meals. I can say this experience had helped me with teambuilding skills as I aided my peers with cooking the food, setting out the tables and cutlery, and presenting as kind, welcoming and hospitable to our guests.

.I did not get lots of time for work experience in my GCSE period as I was studying hard for good grades, I however managed to get a week worth of work experience at a nursery thanks to my school's work experience program. Thanks to this I was able to get a good opportunity to improve on my social skills and approachability by working at a nursery with kids aged from 3-5 and a kind and welcoming staff crew

.During my work experience I was able to help to help children improve their reading and writing comprehension, setting myself up to be a good role model for them by being kind, caring and considerate.

Working with the staff team also helped improve my confidence in what I can do if any contingencies were to occur whether it involves the children or staff members that can also be applied in any regular working environment. I always make an effort to arrive early and avoid any setbacks that may cause me to be late.
