I have an interest in how things work, maintenance and repair and work with my Father restoring a 1972 series 2a Land Rover and a 1983 VW T25 campervan. Over the years i have worked on several motorbikes and cars with my dad. I have learnt to use hand tools and some power tools and really enjoyed doing this. I have good communication skills and i am keen to learn and have a very strong work ethic.
I have recently started at fish and chips shop taking orders, operating the till and working in the back preparing raw materials.
My responsibility's starting off consisted of answering the phone and taking orders and soon after i also started to prepare dishes including cooking of raw foods. This has give me a good understanding of food hygiene and the industry. I also learnt how to operate the till and can confidently take payment off of customers delivering attentive and helpful customer service.
At this place of work i and a few other lads were setting canvas tents up for people to sleep in and also putting up metal gates around the festival area. Once it was ready for the weekend we all came back after to take it all back down, unfortunately i did not contribute during the festival.
Under this employ, my duties included handling large trees, cutting them too size and netting them up ready for customers to take home. I have done this for two years but only temporary around Christmas time and was also doing it six or seven days for the 4 weeks which i was needed. I also maintained outstanding till service efficiency during peak hours, reducing customer wait times for optimized satisfaction.
