Alex Schwarcz

Carterton,United Kingdom

Summary

My name is Alex Schwarcz, I am currently seeking job or apprenticeship opportunities in a Motorsport environment. I have finished my final year of study at Wiltshire College and University Centre. Here I successfully achieved a certificate for Level 2 Motorsport engineering during the 2022-2023 academic year. As well as a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Motorsport Engineering which I achieved in the 2023-2024 academic year.

I have a huge passion for motorsport and mechanics and have gained hands-on experience within the industry through work experience in a local garage - this experience has helped me settle my mind on what I would like to do in the future. I aspire to be a mechanic or technician for a motorsport team working on race cars - I own a project car which I work on in my free time to gain hands on experience with all sorts of different vehicle components - I have a portfolio which shows pictures of each different jobs I have done on the car.

I am currently working for Smedley Motorsport Group where I am working on race karts during race weekends. I am also a freelance number 2 race mechanic for Ford Focus Cup. These experiences combined have helped me learn how to complete mechanical tasks on race cars in a high pressure environment in a quick and efficient manner, which is key in a motorsport environment.

I am dedicated, hardworking, and committed to becoming a dependable and valuable team member.

The awards helped me learn to work as part of a team and they taught me to know which role I play within the team and how crucial every role is, whether that being setting up tents for the night or navigating the team and ensuring we got to our destination within the time we had as well as cooking food for the rest of the team.

I felt that was one of my greatest achievements growing up in secondary school and most importantly it helped me learn how to work in a team.
