A highly motivated and experienced Technical Coordinator with over 9 years in the residential construction industry. Skilled in the working drawing process for sub & super structure packs, regulatory compliance, consultant coordination, and multi-site delivery. Seeking the opportunity to deliver as Senior Technical Co-Ordinator, adopting the companies system, procedures and policies to hit KPI’s on current and future outlets. In addition, further developing my skillset in the progression of junior members of the team.
Adopting Barratt systems and procedures allowed for my natural progression into a Technical Co-ordinator position. Over the recent years I have managed several sites at once, demonstrating my capability to overcome versatile restraints and complexities each development presented. Manage several residential developments simultaneously, ensuring Technical deliverables align with build programmes and regulatory standards. Led the implementation of 2021 Building Regulation updates (Parts F, L, O, S) across multiple sites. Coordinate with consultants, Engineers, and LPA’s to resolve design and buildability issues. Oversee the Technical review of drawings, NHBC submissions, utility designs, and procurement packs.
My first move within the industry was daunting, however extremely beneficial for my personal development. Adapted quickly to new systems and procedures after transitioning companies, broadening my industry knowledge. Enhanced my ability to work within different Technical cultures and workflows while contributing to high-performing team. Supported delivery of complex sites, working closely with Planning, Commercial, and Construction departments.
After completing my Primary Construction Education, I then made the decision to carry out the Level 4 & 5 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction and the Built Environment. This along with 4+ year's experience gave me the platform required to carry out the responsibilities of an Assistant Technical Co-Ordinator for my own developments ranging between 30-400 residential dwellings, with a mix of tenure, houses and flats.
Entered the construction industry at age 16, working for a Tier 1 Residential Developer. Completed a Level 3 Diploma in Construction on a day-release basis while supporting senior coordinators. Gained valuable early experience in document control, Technical drawing review, planning and build stage.
