Im currently a student at Waid Academy high school in Anstruther. Im in 5th Year and studying for my higher exams.
Due to my previous experience I consider myself to be an enthusiastic individual with a high work ethic and high standards seeking a trade in engineering. I complete tasks to exact instructions for accurate, quality and good results. I'am Self-motivated, hardworking and a dependable team member.
I'm well-versed in strong communication and organisation skills. I'm good at problem solvings, multi-tasking, leading group discussions and managing projects. Im also good at working on my own too.
I like to take on challenges as it pushes my abilities to learn and develop my skills to be able to deliver a high-quality service and consistent results in a business.
From the age of 3 years old I have played football. I currently play for East Fife under 16 team. I enjoy football as fitness is important to me.
I enjoy playing as part of a team and it requires communication skills, team work, and being confident all of which I have gained over the years of practise and training.
I also like to spend time with my friends and family. This is also important to me. I like to travel with my family and have been fortunate to visit different countries. I love visiting new countries as I love different cultures and foods.
I enjoy having my friends at my house or going out to play pool or go out for food.
I consider myself to be very loyal and dedicated in any job that I undertake. Im not afraid to ask for help if I'm unsure of anything as I see this as part of learning. I like to achieve my goals and learn new skills. Self development for me is learning new skills and tasks.
I feel I would be an asset to a company as my work ethic is high and I always demonstrate my abilities the best I can.
From May 2021 to date I started my own car valeting business. I do this at weekends and sometimes on a Friday afternoon as I'am half day at school.
I used social media to gain my clients and they would drop their car off at my house. I would then arrange a pick up time and they would return for it.
My duties included,
* washing the outside and inside of the vehicles.
*Clearing any rubbish away that customers had in their vehicle.
*Polished the outside of the vehicles.
*Hoovering the inside of the vehicles.
*Steam cleaned the seats if appropriate.
*Steam cleaned the carpets if appropriate.
*Communication with customers.
*Handling money for payments.
*Keeping my work space tidy.
*Maintaining my tools that were required to be used.
I enjoyed this as I enjoy working with cars and it gave me great job satisfaction to give customers their car back nice and clean. I was always given great compliments on my work which resulted in returning customers.
From 2020 I have worked part time for TNA Properties ltd. This has enabled me to build up experience with renovations and property management.
My duties included clearing properties out to be renovated and helping get properties up to a standard to sell and rent out for the owner.
I also worked along side other tradesmen such as joiners, plumbers and electricians to get the work done. This gave me experience in different trades and how communication is important to work together.
I enjoyed working with all trades as it gave me great job satisfaction to see the end results of a property being completed.
In June 2022 I got a job at one of the local golf courses based in the Kitchen as a Kitchen Porter. I enjoyed this as I was working with different people of different ages.
My duties were,
This job aloud me to gain experience working in a team and on my own. It gave me great responsibility for good time keeping as I worked shifts.
I was also very flexible when I had to cover shifts at short notice.
In March 2023 I approached a local garage as I wanted more experience working with cars. I was fortunate enough to get a few months experience which aloud me to gain more skills and knowledge on vehicles and equipment.
The duties I undertook were,
* Fixing oil leaks
* Taking out car interiors
* Changing car batteries
*Observing car services
* Communicating with customers that approached the garage
*Took stickers of vans that were required
* Keeping a clean working space
I enjoyed the opportunity to work in the garage as it has always been an ambition of mines since I was young. it has given me a great insight of the work that is involved in running a garage. My time keeping was good along with working with others in the team. I was also able to do a lot of solo tasks and given a lot of responsibility to do this. I was quick at learning new skills that were required to complete jobs.
After having a range of experience in different jobs from a young age I feel I have gained a number of valuable and transferable skills such as,

*Great at working on my own
* Outstanding communication skills
