The project assesses the feasibility of implementing CCS technology in the UK aviation sector for carbon emissions reduction.
This project proposes a strategy that has the potential to reduce carbon emissions significantly by taking London Heathrow Airport as a case study. The strategy involves equipping domestic aircraft exhausts with scrubbers to absorb carbon and installing Direct Air Carbon Capture and Storage facilities near heavily trafficked airports to capture carbon from international aircraft.
This project revisits the issues and challenges faced by deaf and dumb individuals in communicating with ordinary people.
The project model incorporates a user-friendly, cost-effective system that uses image processing, neural networking, and a GSM module and is implemented with MATLAB to facilitate communication between deaf and dumb people and ordinary individuals using hand gestures converted to speech sounds. The system allows for two-way communication between a normal person and a dumb person.
Conducted an energy assessment report for Godiva Place, a university student accommodation with 772 residents, to identify areas for energy efficiency improvement. Based on the analysed data and calculated energy consumption, costs, and carbon emissions, installing solar panels and battery systems to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions was recommended.
Conducted research project as part of academic coursework on energy modelling for a renewable energy-supplied coastal city in France. Developed a 99% renewable energy model for La Rochelle, utilizing a combination of solar and wind technologies to meet the city's energy needs on a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable basis.
Completed a comprehensive assessment of the environmental impacts of a large-scale ground-source heat pump project at Royal Worcester Hospital under the UK and EU EIA requirements. Evaluated policies, laws, and guidelines on landscape and visual, ecology and biodiversity, noise and dust nuisance, traffic, and water impacts and identified potential mitigations.
