I'm Aiman Shah Hussain, an ambitious undergraduate with a background in civil engineering, currently seeking an opportunity to grow within an administrative or office-based role, though I am also open to positions outside of this scope. I bring excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset which were developed through both customer facing hospitality work and academic group projects. My time as a waiter has strengthened my ability to multitask, stay detail-oriented, and remain calm and efficient under pressure, which are all highly transferable qualities suited to a wide range of professional environments. I’m eager to join a company that values adaptability, efficiency, and continuous development, and I’m ready to contribute wherever I can add value.
During my studies, I led a team on a Bridge Design Project, where we designed a structure capable of supporting 40kg under controlled stress. I set clear objectives, encouraged my peers, and provided effective solutions to the challenges we faced.
In a separate Infrastructure Research project, I evaluated options within a £5,000 budget, engaged in frequent team discussions, and applied the method of joints to obtain accurate truss calculations, ensuring stakeholders were kept informed throughout the process.
Modelled a 65kW wind turbine using SAP2000 and validated the structure through modal analysis against a reference study. I performed a time history analysis using Landers earthquake records to test dynamic stress response, and evaluated whether the tower design met durability standards under seismic loading. Achieved a grade above 80%.
Outside of work, I practice boxing and Muay Thai, which help me stay disciplined and focused. I enjoy socializing with friends, which strengthens my communication and interpersonal skills. I also occasionally volunteer to care for injured or stray animals, helping transport them to wildlife organizations.
