During my academic studies at sixth form, I participated in the Next-Gen Entrepreneurs Challenge hosted by Lancaster University. Working in a team of up to six, I contributed to the development of a comprehensive business plan based on an entrepreneurial concept aligned with a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal. The project culminated in a final presentation, where my team and I delivered both a professionally designed poster and a 5–10 minute pitch to the University’s Entrepreneurs in Residence. This experience demonstrated and strengthened my ability to work collaboratively in a team, apply entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills, and develop a viable business concept with a focus on sustainability. It also enhanced my research, time management, and communication skills, particularly through presenting ideas clearly and confidently to industry professionals.
