Adam PIGGOTT

I am a substantive Police Constable currently stationed in the Wakefield District currently working on the Neighbourhood Impact Team focusing on the investigation and enforcement of drug related offences within the district.

I have developed my investigation skills conducting complex investigations including drug related conspiracy, supply and production cases resulting in successful prosecutions and significant sentencing at courts. I have taken ownership in a number of these investigations from the initial stages of developing intelligence, to managing the scenes of the crimes and completing fast track actions based on the 5 building blocks of investigation. I have progressed crimes all the way through complex investigation using my skills with technology presenting telecoms and digital media evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service to provide a clear picture of offending.

This role I worked as response officer in Goole area combining reactive and proactive policing styles.
This involved been a high visibility deterrent for criminals and be a reassurance to members of the local community. This role allowed me to be able to deal with a variety of difference incidents from missing persons, crime investigations, road traffic incidents, domestic abuse incidents and victim care.
When I had time between attending logs and dealing with victims of crime I am passionate about proactive policing working with other policing departments to help counter local issues in the community. I enjoyed obtaining and reviewing intelligence to implement in proactive searches and vehicle stops of which I have achieved some successful arrests.
