Adam Gladwin

A dedicated worker with years of experience and a goal to make a career within the hospitality industry. With extensive knowledge across bar and floor, including guest shifts at top bars in South Africa and floor management experience, I thrive in high pressure situations and encouraging my team to succeed. Having started as a glass collecter at 16 and working my way, I feel ready for the next step in my career.

• In my spare time I enjoy writing and reading, with historical fiction being my favourite genre. I also coached a women's youth football team for 2 years.

For three months from September through December 2022 I lived and worked in Cape Town, staying with a group of people from all across the world. During that time I also took part in guest shifts at some of the best bars in the city, inlcuding 'The Drinkery' and 'Bar By Rhys'. I also entered multiple competitions, including the National Tequila Challenge, where I scored highly through qualifiers and the first 2 rounds of the event. I won for my writing on the history of Rum and other sugar based spirits. Whilst in Cape Town I met many incredible bartenders and servers and learnt invaluable lessons in the art of hospitality and the service industry.
