I consider myself to be a highly trustworthy individual, who enjoys working as part of a team. This is demonstrated within my work at the New Elizabethan School, where I have worked for 9 years in various job roles. Currently, I work efficiently to ensure all aspects of Safeguarding on site are fulfilled rigorously. Since taking on the interim role within Safeguarding in May 2024 and then becoming DSL in September 2025, I have worked alongside the Headteacher and other DSL’s to embed a full Safeguarding plan, including supporting the launch of CPOMS to the school and full training programme. This has had a positive impact on the school and this was acknowledged during a LA audit provided by Worcestershire in 2024 and in our recent Ofsted in March 2026, whereby it was noted that the safeguarding standards within the school are now met. In previous roles I have led staff to ensure all aspects of school life are adhered to, to a high standard. I enjoy working in a busy and vibrant environment. My good communication skills enable me to work well as a part of a team, but I have also shown the ability and confidence to work independently and use my own initiative. Some essential attributes needed for the role are to be self-motivated and organised, which I feel I possess and this will ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. Adapting well to new places, working well under pressure and thriving off a new challenge are key strengths of mine. In the future, I would be interested in gaining additional qualifications and welcome the idea of learning new skills and enhancing my knowledge and experiences to further my personal development. My eagerness to succeed and work hard has pushed me to be dedicated towards my work and I always pay close attention to detail to achieve results. I am a keen, hard-worker who is confident and enthusiastic when meeting new people, which I believe helps in all areas of my life, both work and social. All my work has been built through working with members of the public and has led me to be able to meet a wide variety of people over the years. I very much enjoy being in a hands-on role where frequently I am able to meet people of all different walks of life. This is something I am passionate doing: being supportive towards people and assisting them when needed. Roles where I am able to give back to others, such as volunteer work, is very rewarding to me. I flourish from helping others in many different ways and this has been evident through the support I have offered to my colleagues and participating in various volunteering schemes within my local community. My current volunteer work is with two local football teams. I oversee the Safeguarding and welfare of all players and officials attached to the clubs.
