1) On call duties which includes seeing patient referred to General surgery from ED and other specialities. I also cover Urology and breast surgery referrals.
2) Wards duties: reviewing ward patients, measure their progress and in assure their progress is on the right track.
3) Theatres duties: consenting the patient, making sure that the preoperative plan is carried out, assisting in surgeries or performing surgical procedure as Laparoscopic appendicectomies, hernia repair, and vascular surgeries.
4) support the FY1 doctors.

2) Wards duties: seeing the patients in the ward round and check that they are recovering as planned according to the enhance recovery protocol and CCisp.
3) Theatres duties: consenting the patient, making sure that the preoperative plan is carried out, assisting in surgeries or performing surgical procedure as Laparoscopic appendicectomies, I&D for abscesses, inguinal hernia repair.
4) I am responsible of arranging weekly teaching session in my department.
5) support the FY1 doctors

1) I was presently a full-time General Surgery resident trainee as a part of the Egyptian fellowship program of plastic surgery.
My responsibilities include attending outpatient clinics and perform simple procedure under LA as abscesses drainage.
Managing acutely ill surgical patients and formulate a management plan.
2)Attending consultant-led ward rounds, completing tasks assigned during ward rounds on time.
3) Assissting trauma surgeries as my hospital was a major trauma center in Sinai.

This was an internship placement Equivalent to the FY1 program in the UK.

It includes rotating on different specialties to complete my log book in order to get my full medical registration.

I rotated on Internal medicine, general surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, anesthetic medicine, and emergency medicine for two months in each rotation.
