I have been fortunate to live in Unst for 20 years and in that time have run my own business and worked in various establishments on the island. I am honest and totally reliable and trustworthy as I have no doubt my references would confirm. In my previous positions I have assisted with hosted events for visiting politicians, heads of space industry companies such as Lockheed Martin and Aerospace as well as the MOD and aviation authorities including the CAA and FAA.
I have managed sales teams and administration teams of up to 20 people. I am meticulous for detail and like to ensure I have all the facts before making a decision whether home or work related, and I am a very logical thinker. I am practical as my croft house renovations have demonstrated and can turn my hand to most things. I am very flexible in my working hours and can be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I have no issues with working inside or out in whatever weathers that Unst can throw which can be somewhat extreme. In my personal life I have a love of music, playing guitar to a limited degree and being an ex mobile and radio dj have a vast collection of vinyl records to which I am constantly adding and I still have much of the equipment I used in days gone by and produce radio shows stored on memory sticks for friends and family. I love my dogs which cost myself and my wife a fortune but we do not have children and the dogs are far better behaved (most of the time!).
