Primary School Volunteer (2018)
Birchgrove School in Wales
• I volunteered at a local primary school
- I was responsible for a group of children and helped them to understand basic scientific concepts in Biology and Chemistry. This required excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team with other volunteers.
-This allowed me to excel in my presentation skills as I was required to create diagrams and other visual aids.
Journal Club (2021-2022)
• Part of a series of lunchtime discussion for researchers reviewing and presenting recently published data.
-This activity required the creations of presentation slides and other visual presentation.
-This improved my presentation skills but also further helped with time management as I was submitting coursework alongside this.
-In addition, I helped write scientific articles alongside my peers.
Singing
• Grade 7 in classical singing.
-Singing for over 8 years has taught me time management skills, persistence and commitment.
-I was able to give professional singing lessons to beginners. This required patience and developed my teaching abilities.
