Summary

  • I have 4+ years of experience in fashion design and through my education, I invest my time into exploring and educating myself in fashion more throughout my life such as volunteering in fashion shows backstage for my universities fashion graduate collection. I helped out with 5+ collections, handling : the styling of models backstage such as fitting them into their garments and suggesting better alternatives with the designer in order to smoothly coordinate the chaos, helping out with the rails and cleaning, photography, detailing and maintaining a professional environment.
  • I helped out with final year students during my first and second year such as embroidery on garments, tailoring and hand stitching the fastening together and ironing the garment professionally. Alongside this I would do further primary and secondary research and overall spending more than 8hrs helping out with the collection.
  • I have attended a couple fashion shows such as the graduate fashion shows that showcase award winning collections from all over the world, collecting photography/videography of the detailing/silhouette and silhouette of every collection. I love journaling and documenting these for further inspiration and trend forecast.
  • I visit the v&a for further historical information to understand the concept of the projects i pick.
  • i have worked on a couple collaborative projects throughout my education such as brands like : Inditex, Massimo dutti, Ralph Lauren etc.

Relevant experience

fashion design assistant                                                                Kingston school of art, kingston ( June 2026 )

  • during my second year I worked on a project collaborated with Inditex to thoroughly develop and design a clothing line for one of their brands, my project was inspired by native Americans and authentic western village lifestyle, i explored the fashion and history of Native American clothing wear and village lifestyles, found the similarities and developed a collection that promotes authentic lifestyle, this inspired me to pick Massimo dutti as the collaborative brand as Massimo dutti devotes in making timeless and classic looks that focus on organic materials, detailing and care for the quality of their clothes which indicate their target audience. I was inspired by ruffles, drapes, fur and 100% cotton and linen as choice of material for this collection.

  • during my second year I worked on a trouser project where I designed a pair of trousers that where inspired by wanting a more sustainable future, the trouser consisted of adjustable waist bands which makes it suitable for anyone of any shape and size to wear, I then made it adjustable with size, I made this possible but adding several studs around the short which turns the long short into a mini short allowing it to adjust not only length wise but with the environment, which makes this trouser( short) a long term garment with different size pockets and adjustable touches. The material in which it was made with was 100% cotton.
